~ AWAKEN TO SPRING! ~ Spring is a beautiful time, it is the time in which we awaken our bodies, and begin to submerge from sleepy winter. Spring is a time of joy and love. The key words for spring are renewl and rebirth. The perfect time to be thinking of cleansing, as we shed the feeling of cold from our bodies, and invite the warmth of the sun, the longer days and the feeling of lightness.

At this time of year it is important to cleanse, its even more mindful to cleanse with the seasons and the cycles of the earth and what they represent. By doing this it brings us intune with ourselves and the world around us. Spring is a time of letting go, when we honour this, we invite change and release.

As the days start to get warmer, our foods and eating habits also change, and we use this que to listen to the change happening around us, a perfect time to turn to cleansing. Use this time to tune into your body, what is it asking for? What is the wisdom being communicated. It is a time of new growth, just like the trees we sprout new parts of ourselves by clearing space and preparing our bodies for the warmer months.

~ THE NOMAD SPRING CLEANSING TIPS ~

 

Hydrate ~ Increase fluid intake, as we cleanse it is important to hydrate and drink plenty of water to help the body in the elimination and release of toxins.

 

Eat lighter ~ Now is the time to reintroduce salads and raw foods back into your diet, lighter foods and lighter meals are part of our summer eating, introducing this now will make you feel better in the warmer weather.

 

  • Raw snacks such as carrots, cucumber, capsicum, celery
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Eat foods that are in season, this is more sustainable and a better way to eat.
  • Fruit salads

 

Move ~ Over the winter months we have a tendency to stagnate, we slow down, we move less and this reduces the chi or life force that moves our lymphatic system. Start to walk, try yoga, some more high intensity exercise to get the blood flow moving in the body.

 

Spring detox yoga poses ~ This is a good time to take up a yoga class, hot yoga or vinyassa flow are good for boosting blood flow. Simple twists can also be added to your morning routine to help massage and stimulate the organs for toxin release.

 

Wake up the liver ~ You can simply do this by having a morning elixir (see our elixir menu), or make a liver loving morning tea. Add lemon, a pinch of cayenne pepper and warm water, this is also good to bring into your daily routine after your cleanse has finished.

 

Stimulate your lymphatic system ~ Your lymphatic system is important – SO IMPORTANT, but often over looked. It has a tendency to stagnate and become dormant over winter, as the body slows down and cools. This is a key area of focus especially in spring. Here are some ways to help your lymphatic system.

 

  • Dry brushing, purchase a dry brush and bring this into your daily routine, move in a circular direction over the body.
  • Sauna or steam, a perfect time to start steaming, a sweat will help to eliminate toxins and replenish the skin, make sure you keep your fluids up.
  • Morning rebounder, you can purchase a rebounder and do five minutes in the morning, this will shake up your lymphatic system helping with the removal of toxins.

THE NOMAD SPRING BLEND

Gentle , hydrating and light, the Nomad spring blend is a fresh tummy loving tonic. Spring Kiwi fruit and lime add zest along with Nettle, a restorative herb perfect for the change of season and easing the transition to new beginnings. Chia provide grounding protein and energy while aloe soothes and encourages fluidity.

 

 

SUN CIDER

~ Apple cider, lemon & kawakawa ~

Sun Cider is a warming and zesty blend of sun energy, filled with stimulating lemon, apple cider and warming kawakawa, perfect for the change of season, bringing back the warmth of the sun.

 

 

Each cleanse ordered in the month of September will receive a 200ml Nomad spring blend along with a 125ml Sun Cider Elixir.
